Anurag Kashyap At The MAMI Film Festival

Towards the end of the panel discussion, the floor was opened for people in the audience to ask questions to the popular directors. Among the many questions asked, there was a fan who went ahead and asked the panel, that why do directors focus on budgets and star cast instead of good content.

Before anyone else could answer the question, Anurag jumped in saying, "When people in the audience go ahead to watch films which are high on content, then directors will start giving less importance to big budget and big stars."

But the fan did not stop the questions. He came with a rebuttal, "I do watch small budget films." And Anurag replied back saying, "Sir sirf aapke akele film dekhne se mere film ka ek shot bhi pura nahi ho sakta. It's that everyone needs to go (and watch smaller budget films and which are high on content)."

The fan wasn't letting Anurag complete his answer when Anurag got furious and said, "Sir aapko answer sun na hai ya apna hi bata te rehna hai? (Do you want to listen to my answer or do you just want to talk about what you want to say?"

Finally the episode came to an end when the fan gave away his mic to another member of the audience.
